October is well underway, and activity at Nordic Ultratune is steaming right along.
Stone grinding has ramped up to a pretty normal schedule (after a quieter, less tightly scheduled summer). Get your skis in soon to make sure they’re ready for an early snow season!
New skis are rolling in, though some are a bit behind schedule.

New Madshus RedLine 2.0 skate and classic (and Intelligrip skin skis) arrived directly from the Biri, Norway facility. They’re all picked to my specs/requests, and it makes sure Ultratune gets the flexes needed. Madshus boots are in stock now!
Expected to arrive on Oct 21st, Atomic S9 skate skis are in transit from Altenmarkt, Austria. Nordic Ultratune gets the “Kg Skis” (i.e. the more tightly controlled flexes and custom grinding), and again these are picked to Ultratune flex specs so that we get the skis needed.
Rossignol should also be arriving by the end of the month! Rossignol is usually pretty on-schedule with deliveries, but they admit they’re a little late this season.
So far we aren’t skiing yet, but there are a few inches of snow up at the pass, and with a

little more snow (and a little arm-twisting to get a volunteer to groom a little loop) we may be on rock skis before Halloween!
